🚶How to Add a Walk-In Patient to Appointments

A new patient walked in and you need to get their information in Insights.

 

From the Appointments page, click Walk-In Patient

A popup will let you choose either Existing Patient or New Patient. If it’s an existing patient, simply select them from the drop-down menu and ensure their information is up to date.

We’ll go through the New Patient process for this guide.

Enter all the new patient’s key information. There’s a toggle at the bottom of the form to acknowledge accuracy and consistency with your EHR, so be sure to update your EHR as well, in cases of new patients.

Next, the Create Appointment form will appear for you to fill. Select a Facility, Provider, and Appointment Date/Time.

Click Next.

You’ll see a popup like the one below, with options for various methods of payment.

You can also choose to request payment later and simply view the new appointment in the Appointments page.

For quick access, simply click on the filter and start typing the patient’s name.

Congratulations, you’ve added the patient to your appointments!
